First spring sun in Düsseldorf meets the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Leica Lux App

After this long, gray and rainy winter in Germany the sun showed up some Sundays ago. To me the perfect moment to enjoy the low sun and take some emotional pictures. Also, the mixture between old-, modern- architecture and nature, as you can find in the center of Düsseldorf, inspires me in the act of photography. That atmosphere I try to capture with rich color images and to convert them into B&W.

I am getting more and more used to the Fjorden Grip. Toggling within the list of Leica Lens emulations, scrolling up and down the aperture values and using the two-way release button is providing a wonderful haptic and feel of a real camera. Next to the haptic of the Fjorden Grip does the possibilities of the Leica Lux App e.g. choice of the Summilux M 28 – Summilux M 35 – Noctilux M 50 mm emulation of real iconic Leica lenses support the creative photography process. As I many times have expressed in my blog articles, I dislike so much using zoom lenses. I am fascinated and attracted by a small range of prime lenses. Most important to me are wide openings of the lenses. At least f1.4, better is f1.2, to provide a small field of depth. Yes, I know, this is all “fake” or better said artificial bokeh. The result of intense calculation in the GPUs of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I am in at least 90% of the cases extreme happy with the results.

Additional to choosing the right lens and aperture setting also the film emulations Leica is offering in the Leica Lux App are simplifying the imaging process. Just like the Fujifilm cameras are offering the analog film emulsion emulations that allows to compose the final image without any post processing as e.g. Photoshop or Lightroom.

As the X-Pro 3 from Fujifilm offers with in camera processing of RAW images, also pictures taken with the Leica Lux App can be processed with different emulations (Lens, Aperture and Film emulations) afterwards. Tome pictures I am offering here in color and as well different B/W emulations. Choose for your self what you like most.

That is what I love and now this is available with my beloved iPhone!

Enjoy the pictures of the sunny Sunday.
