Foggy morning in the “Franken Jura” captured with the Samyang 85mm f1.4 AS IF UMC
I have enjoyed a long weekend in the “Franken Jura“ in Bavaria in a small village named Muggendorf. It has been a great nature with moderate mountains, winter trees, big rocks, river courses.
One morning I woke up and the scenario had changed extremely outside.
It appeared as if the little village has been ported into the low hanging clouds and smooth fog was coming from the winter trees. The people have been warming their houses with wooden fireplaces, and the steam was climbing to the sky from the chimneys. A scenario as you would expect in a fairytale.
I took the wide-open Samyang 85mm f1.4 AS IF UMC on my Fujifilm X-PRO3 to reach out above the roofs of the houses in the village and capture the cloudy and foggy nature from the window of my hotel room.
The focal length of the 85mm lens is condensing the space to create a unique image. This is even amplified by shooting at aperture f1.4, as I did at some of the pictures.
The smooth bokeh of un sharpness produced at f1.4 matches in my POV perfectly the mood the fog is producing.
These are pictures of the cold winter morning, where I start to dream and relax.
