First day of my 3-month project to only use an iPhone 16 Pro Max for my daily photographic adventures.
I took today some random images beginning at sunrise in the chilly morning and later in the afternoon, in the low but still warm golden autumn sun, of the apple tree in the garden.
I used the 24mm standard lens and used the standard apple photo software to capture the images. Some images I took with the portrait function to play a little bit, or even too much, with the virtual aperture setting faking a software made reduced focal depth. I marked for you the pictures taken with the portrait function. I also noticed that the portrait images are set to a focal length crop of approximate 48mm.
Overall, I am happy with the image quality, resolution and color. For sure a quality that replaces all the traditional compact cameras on the market. To match the quality of a Fujifilm X-PRO3 there is still some more needed, which I try to find in the coming 3 month by learning how to use the lenses and software.
All in all, a good start. Please drop your five cents of opinion and learnings.
