First impression of the NEW 7Artisans AF 35mm f1.4 APSC lens

The NEW 7Artisans lens is giving an outstanding first impression. If you take it out of the box you will find out that there is even a bayonet mount polymer lens hood included. The lens is made from glass, metal and only some parts are made of polymer. It is not too heavy and has a good balance mounted on the Fujifilm X-PRO 3.
First things first! If you buy the NEW 7Artisans AF 35mm f1.4 APSC lens your first action should be, throw the original 7Artisans plastic kit lens hood into the garbage. This lens hood is producing vignetting even at f5.6 and below.
How is this possible? Is there a tolerance in the production of the hoods? Has this combination never been tested in the QA department of the factory?
Fact is I took images with and without lens hood and the vignetting is definitely coming from the lens hood. I ordered a third party screw on vented metal lens hood, as I have found out by many tests in the past how much a lens hood is improving contrast, color rendering and sharpness of a photo.
I added a first gallery of pictures I made with this new lens and marked which ones are with and without that lens hood.
Coming weekend, I will extend this post with pictures of the same content made with no hood, original hood and third-party hood.
