Can the 7Artisans 35mm T1.05 Vision lens handle the 40mp of the Fujifilm X-T5?

With the X-T5 Fujifilm started to implement the next generation of APS-C sensors with a resolution of 40 megapixels. With this new camera Fujifilm also introduced a new generation of lenses like the Fujinon XF 33mm f1.4 R WR. Those new lenses are from highest optical design and extremely well corrected. High quality lenses are needed to support the high resolution of the new sensor.

The Vision series of 7Artisans lenses are special lenses for producing cinematic films. They have close to no focus breathing and are extreme wide open at T1.05 which is translated to a still shooting lens f0.95. At that aperture you can create a wonderful creamy bokeh but at a very small field of depth. Next to use those special lenses for filming, I enjoy using this excellent heavy lenses also for still photography. Optically are those lenses the best 7Artisans APS-C lenses.

7Artisans 35mm T1.05 Vision lens on the Fujifilm X-T5 camera

I want to know, are these lenses a good fit with the 40 mega pixels of the Fujifilm X-T5.

This week there has been another X-DEN event and I used the opportunity to lend a X-T5 and to shoot some pictures. Unluckily this event has been in the evening and due to the short winter days, I was only able to test the lens and camera combination in the dark.

Most pictures outside are made between 8000 and 10000 ISO and at T1.05 – T1.5 (wide open). The results are ok but it´s difficult to judge the performance of the lens. I need to do the same test on a bright day with very low ISO. Also, a shooting of my 3D test landscape might bring a good result to decide the question: “Can the 7Artisans 35mm T1.05 Vision lens handle the 40mp of the Fujifilm X-T5?”

Please have a close look to my test pictures and leave your opinion in the comments.
