Bamberg seen with the 7Artisans AF 10mm f2.8 on Fujifilm X-PRO3
Bamberg is a town in Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany, on the river Regnitz close to its confluence with the river Main. Bamberg had 79,000 inhabitants in 2022. The town dates back to the 9th century, when its name was derived from the nearby Babenberch castle. Cited as one of Germany’s most beautiful towns, with medieval streets and buildings, the old town of Bamberg with around 2,400 timber houses has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. City or street photography is one of my most preferred discipline in the field of photography. The combination of architecture, people and even whole story telling is the wide range of possibilities. Typically, I love to use for street photography a full frame 35-50mm lens. The 7Artisans AF 10mm f2.8 APS-C lens is in full frame a 15mm strong wide-angle lens. As I might have told in the past already, I am not confident using those strong wide-angel lenses. I had to experience so many times the strong distortions but also color fringes mainly with the sun in the image. This 7Artisans AF 10mm f2.8 lens is different. Even while shooting directly into the sun or any bright light you gain sharp and contrast rich images. I might repeat myself, to me this is the best APS-C lens made by 7Artisans. It is even better corrected than many lenses of the famous brand owners.
The lens has an extreme high resolution in the aperture range from f2.8 – f8. This lens has grown in me the fun for wider images and to me the river skyline is a perfect image.
I must be honest. Today my camera bag was holding the 25mm – 35mm – 50mm focal length as a standard. From now on I will extend it by the 10mm lens. The extra 232g are the photographical benefit more than worth.
Please let me know your camera bag setup.
