First picture with the new TTArtisan AF 56mm f1.8
Today I used the last days of cherry blossom for this year in Düsseldorf, to test the new TTArtisan AF 56mm f1.8 lens. To be able to get a first impression of the performance of this light tele lens I shot the same picture with f1.8, f2, f2.8, f5.6 and f8. This way I can judge the field of depth, bokeh, resolution, sharpness and contrast of this lens.
To me a good indicator for the level of resolution and details in an image is the file size of the JPG file. To my big surprise the biggest file size I got at f1.8 reducing a little bit to f8.
Even at f1.8 I cannot see any color fringes or differences in sharpness. A sign, as you can see also on the build diagram, that TTArtisan did a great job in optical design by using high quality specialist lenses. I am looking forward to test also this lens on my test chart. Then we can judge the full level of quality.
Summary: My first impression is very positive.
