New Fujinon XF 23mm f2.8 R WR lens
I got the chance to get my hands on the new pre released Fujinon XF 23mm f 2.8 R WR lens at a Fujifilm event in Düsseldorf. Soon this lens will be only sold with the new Fujifilm X-E5 camera as a kit lens and hopefully later this year (December?) also as a lens only.
This new lens is a rain proof pancake lens with the very attractive focal length of 23mm (FF 35mm) and a maximum opening of f2.8. To me the perfect focal length for most street photography situations. This autofocus lens is light weight but gives a robust impression. The aperture ring is firm in use and offers a 1/3 aperture click. All in all this lens has the potential to become a travel and street photography always on lens to me.
