Enjoy the unboxing movie of the new 7Artisans 7.5mm f2.8 MK II Fish-eye lens. I am fallen in love with the outstanding build quality of the full metal 7Artisans lenses. The haptic of a smooth but well damped focus ring of a manual lens is just a dream. I used lately my Fujicron 16mm f2.8 WR lens as this focal length is still a gap in the line up of 7Artisans. Even so I know of the high quality of that lens and the good IQ, I was shocked by the plastic feeling of that lens. It must have been at least 4 month ago that I had a Fujinon lens in my hand. Really worse it got when I tried to focus that lens manual. A Fujinon is focused by wire manually. The rotation of the focus ring is activating the focus motors and this is of course not very precise and offers no feedback even a lag in response. You must try this yourself when you never had a manual lens on your camera.
